The Washington Post Express was a daily commuter paper providing the city with a digestible news source often through a whimsical lens.
Strategy
Each week, the Weekend Pass section featured a new restaurant/museum/festival. As Art Director I was tasked with creating a custom design or illustration to highlight the event in print and social media.

impact
The Washington Post Express was an incredible addition to the commuter culture in D.C. For over 15 years, the free newspaper introduced new happenings to the people of the District before being shut down in 2019. My team and I poured our hearts into presenting the national and world news of the day alongside local importance.
